PlantaeLight

Getting Started — your first 5 minutes with the app.

Before you start

Setup

1

Install the app and sign in

Search PlantaeLight on the App Store or Google Play. Use Sign in with Apple or Sign in with Google to skip passwords — or tap Create account, enter your email + a password (8+ chars), and verify with the 6-digit code emailed to you.

2

Plug in your device

Connect it to its power adapter. The status LED slowly pulses at first, then starts blinking quickly — it's ready to pair.

3

Add it in the app

On the Home screen, tap the + button in the top-right corner. Allow Bluetooth and Location when prompted. Pick your PlantaeLight from the list (its name starts with PL_ followed by the 8-character serial on the back of the unit).

4

Choose your WiFi

The app shows the networks your device can see. Select yours and enter the password. Only 2.4 GHz networks appear — that's normal.

5

Wait ~30 seconds

The device joins WiFi, registers with the cloud, and shows up in your dashboard. Status light turns solid. You do not need to switch your phone's WiFi — the whole setup runs over Bluetooth.

6

Turn on the lights

Tap your device, slide the brightness up, or apply a recipe from the Recipes tab to match the plant you're growing.

Tip. Start at 30–40% brightness with new seedlings and ramp up over the first week. Full spectrum at 100% for 18 hours is great for mature plants but overwhelms young ones.
Community is optional. The first time you sign in you'll be asked to claim a public username — tap Skip if you just want to control your device for now. You can claim a handle and explore Feed / Explore / Profile any time later.

Something didn't work?

Unplug, wait 10 seconds, plug back in. Most issues clear up on reboot. Full guide at manual.plantaelight.com.

Want to move the device?

Power-cycle it three times in three seconds to factory-reset — then pair it with any account as if brand new.
